The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), was established in 1973 by the Government of India in cooperation with the State of Karnataka of which Bangalore is the capital. Located some 10 miles from the heart of the city, IIMB is situated in a beautiful 100-acre campus on the southern outskirts of Bangalore. IIMB’s unique architecture consisting of local granite buildings surrounded by lush green lawns, well-maintained gardens, and patches of natural forest provide a serene environment for learning. In 2001 IIMB, where instruction is in English, was ranked first among India’s business schools and is also recognized as one of the ten best management schools in Asia.
