Faculty of Management Studies FMS Delhi

Founded in 1954, Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) has pioneered the concept of management training in India. The first institute to provide management education in form of part-time MBA programme for professional manager, then it started its full time MBA programme in 1967.

FMS has established itself as one of the top management institutes in the country. A founder member of the Association of Management Development Institutes in South Asia (AMDISA), FMS has created its rightful part in the evolution of management studies in this region. It has been constantly developing collaborative and exchange programme with various institutions in India and Abroad.

The institute offers various MBA programme with specialisation in various fields:

1. Masters of Business Administration (MBA) -- 2 years, full time programme. The intake of students in the course each year is 90. The eligibility condition for admission to the course is at least a 3 years bachelor's degree after 12 years of schooling in any discipline with a minimum 50 percent in aggregate. Candidates appearing in final year of their graduation may also apply.

2. Masters in Business Administration (MBA) -- 3-year part time programme. The eligibility condition for admission to the course is a bachelor degree with 45 percent in aggregate and the candidate should also have at least three years experience as an executive or administrator in an establishment after passing the bachelor degree.

3. Masters in Business Administration (MBA) (Public Systems Management) -- 2-year full time programme. The intake of students every year in this programme is 30 students. The eligibility condition for admission is that the candidate must have secured 50 percent in aggregate in bachelor degree; in addition the candidate shall be working in a public systems organisation and shall have full time experience at the executive level.

4. Masters in Business Administration (MBA) (Health Care Administration) -- 3 Year part time programme. The intake is 15 students every year. The eligibility condition for admission is the candidate must possess bachelor degree in medicine and he should have atleast 5-year experience in Hospital Administration.

5. Doctoral Programme: Ph.D. degree by University of Delhi in different areas of management. In addition several doctoral students of the other universities in India and abroad visit FMS to seek guidance.
